Dr. Adewumi is currently a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
Dr. Dare Adewumi received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans. He then conducted independent research associated with the synthesis of anti-tumor purine analogues and later received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.
Dr. Adewumi completed both his surgical internship and neurological residency training at Loma Linda University Health Science Center as well as an enfolded specialty fellowship in complex and minimally invasive spine surgery at the Swedish Neuroscience Institute in Seattle during his residency training.

He also completed an accredited fellowship in Surgical Neuro-Oncology Committee on Advanced Subspecialty Training at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. His research has produced numerous journal articles, a scientific book, and multiple presentations at various neurosurgical society events.
Recently, Dr. Adewumi joined the Greater Houston Neurosurgery Center and currently treats various neurosurgical conditions pertaining to the brain, cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. His primary areas of specialty included treatment of both traumatic and nontraumatic brain injuries, spine injuries, and treating benign and malignant brain and spine tumors. Dr. Adewumi is currently a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
